Punk, crust & metal musician from Ukraine died in battle

In combat with ruzzian invaders, on January 24, 2026, Ukrainian punk, crust, and metal musician Pavlo Yuriiovych Martsovenko died.

Pavlo was a Ukrainian punk, crust, and metal musician. He lived in the city of Dnipro, where he played in local bands and worked as an electrician. He was part of the antifascist music scene.

He played bass in the doom metal band House of Flowers and the crust punk band Zlyden. He also practiced powerlifting and was a committed vegetarian.

Pavlo died , while defending the village of Bilyakivka from Russian occupiers in his home region.

During his service, he commanded a crew of unmanned aerial vehicles as part of the “Madjar’s Birds” brigade.
